I have described my journey to you in just a few minutes. Follow the recommendations I have given you, with certainty (yaqin). Follow Allah's path with rectitude. For Allah's path is one, just as the Lord is one. The Prophet is one. The wali is one. By following Allah's path, you will reach the wali, then the prophet (nabi), then the messenger (rasūl), and you will find yourself with the Lord. If you do not follow this, you will go in all directions, without any proper direction. By following these recommendations, you will arrive. You will understand the shaykh and the shaykh will understand you just by looking, without a word being spoken. Just by looking at you, I will know what you have in your heart, and just by looking at me, you will know what I have in my heart.

Because we will then have a spiritual conversation (tawāssul rūhī). If such a connection exists between you and me, my prayer will reach you. You say: "O Sidi Shaykh, I love you. I would die for you." The shaykh is not a woman who will give you children, whom you will kiss and hold in your arms, or a friend with whom you will do some tourism. Understand this well. 

The shaykh is the door of the Merciful, he is the door of presence. If you truly want to love the shaykh, you must be among those who follow these recommendations. If you follow these recommendations, whatever the shaykh's renown, whatever his degree, whether he is khatm, ghawth, qutb, badal, he will love you willingly or unwillingly. And even the Prophet ‎ﷺ  will love you. This is because Allah has loved you! Sayiduna Jibril himself will have declared to the inhabitants of the heavens: "Such a one is loved by Allah, so love him." Who is close to the Merciful? The messenger, the prophet, and the wali.

If the Merciful loves you, the first to love you will be the messenger, the prophet, and the wali. Then, it will be the angels' turn to love you. Allah will then bring down this love to earth, and you will then be loved by the trees, the stones, and all of creation. Even the fish in the water will love you. You will be known by all. They will recognize you as the beloved of Allah (habib Allah). This is it: "I am the hearing by which he hears, the sight by which he sees." If Allah loves you, all of Allah's creatures will love you because they will see through you Allah's greatness, His proximity, His hand, His hearing. The very ground on which you sit will not want you to leave it. The tomb will yearn for your death to finally contain you. They will desire to meet you because you will be the beloved of Allah. All the heavens will open for you. You will find at the lote-tree of the utmost boundary (sidrat al muntaha) the pious waiting for you. "And do not say of those who are killed in the way of Allah that they are dead. On the contrary, they are alive." (Q Al-Baqarah 2:154)

Hell will fear you because if you entered it, you would extinguish its fire as you will have become the step of the Creator. Through Allah's love, creatures have loved you. The physical world (mulk) became yours. The spiritual world (malakūt) became yours. The world of Omnipotence (jabarūt) became yours. This is because you will have become in the image of the Creator. The universe will fear you, even though you possess neither weapons, nor swords, nor strength, but you will be the All-Powerful (al-qawi). Upon meeting a non-Muslim, you will see him lose speech before you. The scholar will lose all his knowledge before you. You will see him come with a mountain of questions, but facing you, he will have none because he will see on you the grace of the Merciful (al-rahman). Even if he is your enemy, he will love you when he finds himself in your presence. He will tell you: "I did not think you were like this, I listened to people, forgive me."

We were like this and never changed. And when you go to someone who has spoken ill of you, he will love you in turn. Why will they love you? You have nothing special. The scholars will have more knowledge than you, greater beauty, a more beautiful and greater lineage. They will love you because the flow of the Merciful will be in you. Do what you want, sleep in the sewers, tear your clothes, they will continue to love you.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
