SURRENDERING
The Light That Found Me
And when I found myself agonizing,
As all my patience slipped away,
I cried to You with all I had—
And in my chest, rose up Your sun.
I called You from the depths of darkness and despair,
Where hope had vanished and faint,
And You were the light and the dew,
And every breath came from You.
With it, You wrapped me in embrace,
With it, You wiped away my tears.
With it, the “where” and “when” dissolved,
With it, I heard Your whispers in the silence of my soul,
You were my pulse, my flowing tear,
And all that came to be, was You.
Your beauty cloaked the entire world,
For You alone are purest being,
And nothing is… except for You.
